It was the last day of the Qingming holiday and we didn’t feel like cooking at home so we headed outside searching for something to eat. We haven’t been to the MixC mall in a while so we went on a short 15min ebike ride to the mall. The weather was perfect and you can feel the light breeze on your face.
In China, shopping malls usually open from 10 a.m. and as soon as we got there Naicha wanted to visit her favorite shop in MixC – KKV. Girls sent time browsing their favorite nail polish section, then got themselves a new Powerpuff key rings.
Kids started getting hungry and we end up going to a new restaurant we haven’t tried before HoF. It’s a Japanese fusion place, it’s more like a Japanese style cafe with limited menu options. They didn’t have any kids menu but there were some options kids can try.
We ordered 5-6 dishes, sushi rolls, fries, chicken and waffles, salmon on rice, crabmeat canapé, and spaghetti for the kids. Food was great, tastes fresh and healthy. I really liked the chicken and waffles and kids loved the spaghetti. Fries were little bit dry and salmon on rice was a good too.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They got us the baby chair for Kele and their tea was really good. It had a slight orange flavor and I thought it went well with the season. Serving portions are ok but we did feel like we could have ordered one less item. We were so full at the end.
Total bill was around 200RMB and that’s pretty good for a family of 4. I think you can buy vouchers on Dianping or Meituan to get the bill down a little bit. Overall, delicious food, good service and reasonable price. The only downside I could think of is the limited menu options.
One of the best thing about the MixC mall is that it is right next to the lake and you can take a stroll after the meal and enjoy the view. At night there are usually people busking and the live music makes the atmosphere a really nice place for people to come and chill.
If you’re in MixC mall next time, try HoF and let me know what you think about the food.
