Surprisingly there are so many independent coffee places in Wuxi and it’s always nice to find a unique place as Vayu Farm Coffee. It’s located in a rural area in the mountains and its only about 25 minutes taxi ride from Coastal City mall. They have standard menu items, coffee, tea, bread and they also provide BBQ service for those who are looking for a weekend family outing at the farm. Naicha was at a birthday party with mom so I took Kele to join few other families gathering on the day. The place has cozy indoor seating area and a spacious outdoor seating area where you can chill on the hill next to the vegetable garden. (You can rent the sections of the farm for those who are interested in weekend farming activities with families).
I ordered some cold latte and it was so refreshing especially on a hot day and I tried a slice of margarita pizza and it was absolutely divine. They have other items on the menu I definitely want to try next time we visit, especially the BBQ set menu. Technically, you shouldn’t bring outside food but they did allow us to bring some snacks for the kids which was nice. Kids spent all afternoon running around the open field, looking at the vegetables growing and checking out the resident chickens roaming around the area. There are no playground for kids so you can either bring some toys or boardgames for the kids to play.
Would I want to go back again? Absolutely! It was one of the nicest cafe I’ve been to in Wuxi. Perfect for a family weekend getaway.
